Student Emergency Fund

The Student Emergency Fund was created by the Bishop State Foundation to assist Bishop State students who encounter an unforeseen financial emergency that would otherwise prevent them from continuing their education at Bishop State. These funds are not intended to be used for routine expenses or as a consistent supplement to a student’s education funding sources. This funding is only available during the semester the student is enrolled and the emergency occurs.

The Student Emergency Fund can help you with unanticipated financial emergencies caused by:

  • Housing and living expenses
  • Car repairs or transportation issues
  • Childcare
  • Family emergencies
  • Natural disasters
  • Unanticipated loss of employment
  • Food Insecurities

How to Apply?

Students can submit their request by completing the online form:

If approved, funds will be distributed to the business where the bill is due and not directly to the student.

Every effort will be made to fulfill approved requests within five (5) business days.

Assistance is granted without regard to race, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.

How Is the Student Emergency Fund Supported?
